Skyrise Miami

This past August, the voters showed their support for the new 1,000 foot tall observation tower that will be located by the Bayside Marketplace in downtown Miami. The Skyrise Miami Tower is expected to bring a exponential amount of both revenue and increased tourism to the area with featured attractions such as an observation deck, nightclub, ballroom, and thrill rides such as “SkyRise Drop” and “SkyPlunge”.
Skyrise Miami is expected to have 3.2 million visitors, which will contribute to the surrounding attractions of the Bayside Marketplace, Airlines Arena, Perez Art Museum, Patricia and Robert Frost Science Museum, and the soon to be constructed Miami World Center and Resorts World Miami.
Local residents supported the privately funded project but as of late, developers have approached the city for support in the project, which may be putting a sway in some feelings.
The project is expected to be completed in mid-2017.
